Job Description
We are looking to hire an internal auditor with brilliant accounting and analytical skills.
Internal auditors are expected to be organized with brilliant problem-solving skills and constantly deliver on tight deadlines.
You should have an outstanding aptitude for math, strong IT skills and superb communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with federal regulations
Identify and reduce significant business risk and financial risks to the organization through effective implementation and monitoring of controls and offer recommendations to reduce risk.
Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved
Assess the efficiency and productivity of internal departments and make recommendations for improvement to upper management in the form of reports and presentations
Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement for various departments
Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and savings methods to management
Implement best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit statements.
Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices.
Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks and provide overall supervision of planned annual audits.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Minimum of 5 years work experience in an internal audit environment
ICAN, ACCA certifications is an added advantage
Accreditation with the Institute of Internal Auditors is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office and the use of Accounting Software.
